About the role
Engagement Quality Control Review (EQCR) team at KPMG supports SEC Reviewing Partners by performing quality control reviews to ensure audit consistency and quality. The Associate Director leads initial reviews of work papers, assesses compliance with PCAOB and SEC standards, and drives the team’s work plan to meet engagement deadlines. Based in Bangalore, on-site at KPMG’s office, the role involves stakeholder interaction, project management, and mentorship of audit staff.
What you’ll do
- Perform initial reviews of engagement team work papers for specific audit areas
- Assist in reviewing accounting procedures, walkthroughs, controls and substantive responses
- Review financial statements and conduct inquiries with engagement teams
- Summarize review results and present findings to EQCR and engagement teams
- Drive EQCR work plan, ensuring schedules align with engagement due dates
- Interact with engagement teams, EQCR members and other stakeholders
What you’ll bring
- CA or CPA active membership/license
- 8-11 years post‑qualification audit experience in a Big 4 firm
- Extensive experience with PCAOB auditing standards, SEC regulations and US GAAP
- Prior role as Associate Director or Senior Manager with signed‑off workpapers
