Lead Engineer - Dry Utilities

About the role

AECOM's Energy team in Mumbai seeks a Lead Engineer to deliver impactful infrastructure projects globally. The role involves independent design of electrical and utility systems, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring budget adherence. This hybrid position requires working from the office at least three days per week.

What you’ll do

• Independently perform primary design elements for engineering works
• Prepare, review, and produce designs for electrical networks, substations, and utilities
• Perform design calculations including cable sizing, voltage drop, and fault levels
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures
• Propose approaches to solve new problems using modified standard methods
• Identify discrepancies in results and ensure work meets budget and schedule

What you’ll bring

• B. Tech or Master of Engineering degree in an appropriate discipline
• 5-10 years of engineering experience
• Experience with outside India projects (Middle East, UK, USA, Canada, ANZ) preferred
