About the role

PPS team at Vestas India drives grid interconnection studies and compliance for wind and hybrid power plants. The Lead Engineer develops and reviews electrical power system simulation models, designs BoP solutions, and guides engineers and trainees while coordinating with regional colleagues and grid operators. Based in Chennai, TN, IN, on-site work with occasional travel to customer sites.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and review simulation models for wind and hybrid plants
  • Analyze site-specific grid interconnection requirements and grid codes
  • Design and review balance-of-plant for wind power projects
  • Prepare and present reports to grid operators and customers
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and trainees

What you’ll bring

  • Master's or Bachelor's in Power Systems or related engineering
  • Minimum 6 years experience in power system studies for renewable energy
  • Experience with grid interconnection solutions and grid code compliance
  • Proficiency with PSS/E, Power Factory, PSCAD, ETAP or equivalent tools
  • Strong English communication skills
