About the role
KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) drives holistic, value‑added solutions across the asset life cycle, focusing on rotating and packaged equipment for energy transition projects. As a Senior Technical Professional Mechanical, you will prepare data sheets, specifications, and technical requisitions, evaluate supplier documents, and support commissioning and field troubleshooting for proprietary rotating equipment. The role is based in Gurgaon, India, on a 6‑month contract with on‑site work required.
What you’ll do
- Prepare data sheets, specifications, and technical requisitions for rotating equipment
- Evaluate supplier documents and participate in inspection, testing, and commissioning
- Estimate staffing and schedules for new proposals
- Negotiate critical issues with senior engineers and clients
- Train new personnel and manage direct reports
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and corporate guidelines
What you’ll bring
- 10-12 years experience in selection & application of pumps, compressors, steam & gas turbines
- Familiarity with API, ISO, NEMA, ASME, IEEE, IEC, ALPEMA, PIP standards
- Experience preparing technical requisitions and supplier reviews
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally
