About the role
Technical Professional on KBR's Mechanical Engineering team, responsible for supporting senior engineers in specifying pumps, process units, and utility packages such as boilers and refrigeration systems. The role conducts technical bid evaluations, reviews vendor drawings, and coordinates engineering information with vendors and internal specialists, with occasional global travel. Chennai, India, On-site, Full-time.
What you’ll do
- Support senior engineer in equipment specification
- Perform technical bid evaluations under supervision
- Review vendor drawings and coordinate technical information
- Travel globally as required for project support
What you’ll bring
- BE/B.Tech Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3-6 years progressive experience in rotating machinery specification and selection
- Knowledge of API-610 pumps and related standards
- Experience with chemical, petrochemical, refining, LNG, and offshore projects
- Engineering contractor background preferred
- Proficiency with MS Windows and Office
