About the role
Principal Embedded Solutions Engineer (ESE/FAE) at Microchip Technology. Lead technical solutions for wired networking and communication infrastructure products, engage clients, drive design wins, and optimize connectivity performance.
What you’ll do
- Engage Sales/Marketing for pre/post-sales support on wired networking products
- Provide technical support for Ethernet switches, PHYs, controllers, IEEE 1588, Secure Ethernet
- Advise clients on Microchip and Microsemi solutions
- Drive design wins using client engagement process
- Conduct architectural and schematic reviews, design-in, and product training
- Support client development from design-in to post-production
- Optimize connectivity performance: data rates, signal integrity, power
- Troubleshoot and resolve wired connectivity issues in embedded systems
- Use network analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump) for diagnostics
- Collaborate with hardware/software teams for seamless integration
- Communicate ROI and feedback to product divisions
- Participate in global team strategies for client success
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's in engineering discipline, strong academic record
- 7+ years relevant work experience
- 4 years semiconductor applications/sales preferred
- 4+ years design experience in security and microcontroller applications
- BSc/BEng or MS in Electronics or Physics is a plus
