Design Lead – Interior Trim Systems

About the role
Interior Trim Design Team at Expleo focuses on creating high‑quality automotive interior components. The Design Lead drives end‑to‑end development of instrument panels, cross‑car beams and door trims, overseeing CAD modeling, DFMEA, DVP&R, supplier coordination and production release. Based in Pune, India, this is an on‑site role with relocation support available.
What you’ll do
- Lead concept‑to‑production design of IP, CCB and door trim components
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings and release documentation
- Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis and validation support
- Collaborate with vehicle engineering, CAE, manufacturing, quality and suppliers
- Drive cost, weight and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage engineering changes, BOM updates and product releases
What you’ll bring
- 6-8 years automotive interior trim design
- Proficiency in CATIA or NX
- Experience with DFMEA/DVP&R and GD&T
- Knowledge of plastic injection molding and sheet‑metal processes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication
