Cloud Engineer, Specialist

About the role

Vanguard’s India Office in Hyderabad seeks a Cloud Engineer to support AI and cloud-based technologies. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, mentoring junior staff, and deploying AI systems within production environments. This hybrid position requires strong expertise in cloud infrastructure and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What you’ll do

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware or software issues across technology domains
• Test, deploy, and maintain AI systems ensuring stability and performance in production
• Train and mentor junior staff on processes, releases, and technical standards
• Monitor data flows and infrastructure components to support AI deployment operations
• Coordinate with vendors and project teams to investigate issues and ensure timely outcomes
• Execute rigorous validation and testing of AI platforms to ensure quality standards
• Update and maintain department documentation for security best practices and disaster recovery
• Stay current with AI trends to identify opportunities for system and workflow improvements

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure management
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience
• Hands-on expertise with AWS Services (Glue, S3, Lambda), CI/CD, and Python
• Ability to build, validate, test, and deploy AI models using conversational tools

Nice to have

• Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket/Bamboo, and cloud-based databases
• Strong debugging skills and ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with automated regression testing tools like Cyara or Playwright
• Experience in Observability and SRE related activities
