About the role

Coherent Corp. DBA team manages enterprise data platforms, ensuring high availability and performance across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and on-premises environments. The Senior Oracle DBA designs, implements, and administers Oracle databases, leads migrations to OCI, and automates operations with scripting and monitoring tools. Hyderabad, India, hybrid (3 days onsite).

What you’ll do

  • Design, implement, and administer Oracle DB environments on OCI and on‑prem
  • Lead end‑to‑end migrations from on‑prem to OCI
  • Configure and manage OCI services (Compute, VCN, Storage, IAM)
  • Develop backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery solutions
  • Perform performance tuning, SQL optimization, and capacity planning
  • Automate admin tasks with Shell, SQL, PL/SQL scripts
  • Support 24×7 production environment and on‑call rotations

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years Oracle Database administration (19c/21c)
  • 3+ years OCI experience
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification (preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and Data Guard
  • Proficiency with RMAN, backup tools (Commvault, Avamar)
  • Strong change management and on‑call support experience
