Senior Accountant, Fund Accounting

About the role

IQ-EQ, a leading investor services group managing over $857 billion in assets, seeks a Senior Accountant to oversee private equity fund accounting operations. Based in Hyderabad, this hybrid role involves preparing NAV calculations and financial statements while supervising junior staff and serving as a key client liaison. The position requires balancing technical accounting duties with team management and process improvement initiatives.

What you’ll do

• Review and prepare NAV calculations, financial statements, capital calls, and distributions
• Oversee and provide feedback to Accountants and Junior Accountants
• Serve as key point of contact for clients, investors, and internal stakeholders
• Plan, allocate, and monitor team workloads and workflow processes
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and SSAE requirements
• Drive process improvements and support team development through coaching

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Accounting or related business discipline
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• 1+ year in supervisory or team management role
• Strong knowledge of IndAS, IFRS, and US/UK/Luxembourg GAAP
• Proven fund accounting experience, preferably in private equity

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions)
• Experience with accounting systems such as Investran
• CPA/ACCA certification is added value
• Experience in financial services or multinational environments
