QA Automation Engineer II

About the role

Customer Enablement team at Zafin focuses on delivering high‑quality banking platform solutions. The QA Automation Engineer II ensures reliability of backend processes, data flows and APIs through functional, regression and integration testing. Works closely with developers, analysts and data engineers in Trivandrum, on‑site, contributing to continuous improvement of QA practices.

What you’ll do

• Perform functional, regression and integration testing for backend banking applications
• Validate backend data processing, file‑based workflows and system integrations
• Execute API testing and validation using Postman
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and data engineers
• Track, document and report defects using Jira
• Prepare test evidence and maintain testing documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and QA best practices

What you’ll bring

• 3-6 years automation testing in banking
• Strong understanding of STLC and defect management
• Backend testing and data validation using SQL
• Hands‑on Java or Python with Selenium/TestNG/Cypress
• API testing with Postman
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice to have

• Kafka message validation
• ETL processes and data pipelines
• Performance testing with JMeter
• CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Azure cloud basics
• Kubernetes basics
