About the role
Director – General Metal Finishing (GMF) at MKS Instruments’ Advanced Development Centre (ADC) leads the GMF organization, driving execution excellence across R&D programs and building technical capabilities in surface treatment technologies. The role partners with Global R&D Directors to align ADC activities with global strategy, oversees laboratory operations, and mentors a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality outcomes for automotive, electronics, and industrial applications. Based in India Manesar, the position is on‑site with a focus on global collaboration and operational governance.
What you’ll do
- Lead GMF organization at ADC
- Align ADC activities with global R&D agenda
- Drive execution of R&D programs and milestone tracking
- Support scale‑up and industrialization
- Mentor and develop multidisciplinary team
- Oversee laboratory operations and safety
- Manage OPEX/CAPEX budgets
- Implement structured R&D processes
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years R&D experience in electroplating or surface treatment
- Leadership of R&D teams in global matrix organization
