Senior Engineer, Technical Services

About the role

Technical Services team at Orica delivers safe, practical technical support to mining customers. The Senior Engineer leads the regional team, coaching engineers, developing technical solutions, and driving blast performance improvements using data-driven recommendations. Based at the Udaipur site, the role involves regular travel to customer sites and on‑site execution, with a focus on safety, customer partnership, and capability building.

What you’ll do

• Lead safety execution and ensure compliance with SOPs
• Coach and develop Technical Services Engineers
• Build and maintain strong customer technical relationships
• Identify customer needs and translate into technical solutions
• Lead delivery of technical services projects
• Analyse blast performance and provide data‑driven recommendations
• Develop technical method statements and support tenders
• Plan and allocate resources while managing costs

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (B.Tech/B.E.)
• Experience in underground drill and blast in metal mining
• Proven ability to analyse blast performance and implement improvements
• Strong safety leadership and risk management in site environments
• Customer engagement and technical solution development
