About the role
ABB Energy Industries team drives process automation for the Energy division. The Project Lead Engineer acts as technical lead, overseeing all engineering disciplines, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective execution and serving as design authority for electrical systems. Leads and coordinates a team of up to 10 engineers on site in Bangalore, on‑site work model.
What you’ll do
- Act as technical lead for all engineering activities
- Ensure efficient, cost‑effective execution across disciplines
- Serve as design authority for electrical engineering assignments
- Collaborate on installation, commissioning, and site issue resolution
- Coach engineers on translating conceptual designs to documentation
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Apply design thinking and excellence concepts in projects
- Develop and review electrical drawings and calculations
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- 10-15 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in Switchgear, Transformers, Substations
- Proficiency with Electrical Single Line Diagrams
- Experience preparing technical offers and proposals
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to develop and review electrical layout drawings
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
