About the role

Senior Manager, R&D Learning Enablement at Amgen leads the AIN Learning Delivery team in Hyderabad, India, overseeing onboarding, logistics, content operations, and learning delivery for R&D and OCMO functions globally. The role ensures delivery excellence, SLA adherence, and integration with global learning strategies, driving standardization, automation, and operational efficiency through AI-enabled tools. Responsibilities include establishing intake, governance, and SLA processes; managing resource planning, workload prioritization, and vendor engagement; partnering with global Learning Business Partners and Learning Architects; coordinating with GxP Learning and Quality teams; implementing automation and AI tools for scheduling, reporting, dashboards, and analytics; monitoring KPIs such as cycle time, cost per learner, and time-to-proficiency; managing site-level budget, capacity planning, and hiring; acting as escalation point for delivery issues; and fostering a culture of consistency, collaboration, and compliance. The position requires at least 12 years of experience managing people and leading teams, projects, or programs, preferably in learning and development, training, or a related field, with strong skills in regulated learning environments, AI-enabled learning operations, data-driven decision-making, KPI management, project management, continuous improvement, communication, governance, and stakeholder alignment.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the AIN Learning Delivery team to execute onboarding, learning operations, content management, and reporting in alignment with global learning plans
  • Establish intake, governance, and SLA management processes to ensure high-quality, timely delivery across supported functions
  • Manage resource planning, workload prioritization, and vendor engagement for AIN-based delivery activities
  • Partner with global Learning Business Partners (LBPs) and Learning Architects (LAs) to align execution with strategic learning objectives
  • Coordinate with GxP Learning and Quality teams to ensure compliance requirements are met; delivery team supports execution, Quality retains validation ownership
  • Implement automation and AI tools for scheduling, reporting, dashboards, and analytics to improve operational efficiency
  • Monitor KPIs (cycle time, cost per learner, time-to-proficiency) and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage site-level budget, capacity planning, and hiring; ensure follow-the-sun operational readiness
  • Act as escalation point for learning delivery issues; resolve dependencies with global or cross-functional teams
  • Foster a culture of consistency, collaboration, and compliance to avoid fragmented or siloed delivery approaches

What you’ll bring

At least 12 years of experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, or programs, preferably in learning and development, training, or a related field.
