About the role

Wells Fargo CIB Lending technology team drives AI‑enabled, cloud‑native platforms for scalable finance solutions. The Principal Engineer leads architecture, design governance and engineering across .NET Core services, GenAI integrations and event‑driven pipelines, mentoring engineers and collaborating with product, data and security stakeholders. Hyderabad, India, on‑site role with flexible hours for US team overlap.

What you’ll do

• Define and execute strategic vision for CIB Lending portfolio
• Design and oversee robust, secure, high‑performance architecture
• Lead large‑scale AI‑powered solution development and integration
• Mentor engineers and promote best‑practice adoption
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts and stakeholders
• Drive CI/CD automation, monitoring and operational excellence
• Communicate complex technical concepts to executives and regulators
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years engineering experience
• Hands‑on .NET Core development
• AI/GenAI solution architecture
• React or Angular UI expertise
• Kafka event‑streaming experience
• REST API design with Postman/Swagger
• DevOps tooling and CI/CD practices
• Agile/Scrum methodology
