About the role
HPE’s Network Solutions team builds and validates complex network topologies for global deployments. As a Senior Systems Engineer you design Python‑based automation frameworks, simulate traffic with Spirent or IXIA, and lead AI‑driven testing to ensure software reliability. You collaborate with field engineers and customers, perform root‑cause analysis, and support critical POCs and RFPs. The role is onsite in Bengaluru with a focus on IP fundamentals, routing, multicast, and large‑scale traffic generation.
What you’ll do
- Design and maintain modular Python APIs for test automation
- Build and validate large‑scale network topologies
- Simulate real‑world traffic and stress‑test protocols
- Analyze field issues and drive root‑cause investigations
- Lead technical POCs and respond to RFPs
- Collaborate with field engineers and customers
- Integrate AI‑driven testing methodologies
- Ensure software releases meet high‑performance demands
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years networking experience
- Proficiency in Python scripting
- Hands‑on with BGP, OSPF, RIP, MPLS, IGMP, PIM
- Experience with Spirent or IXIA traffic generators
- Knowledge of IP fundamentals (ARP, ICMP, TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP)
- Exposure to AI/ML‑based test automation
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication
