Senior Engineer - Subsea Systems

About the role

Wood India Consulting division seeks a Senior Engineer – Subsea Systems to lead design and technical oversight of subsea Xmas Tree and related hardware for oil & gas projects. Based in Chennai, the role requires on‑site presence and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across the globe. Responsibilities include developing engineering designs, specifications, and procedures, performing technical calculations, reviewing contractor deliverables, and ensuring compliance with industry codes (API, ISO) and HSE regulations. The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or subsea preferred), possess extensive subsea hardware experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of managing multiple concurrent projects. What you’ll do

• Lead technical design of subsea Xmas Tree and related hardware
• Develop and review engineering designs, specs, and procedures

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering (mechanical or subsea preferred)
• Extensive subsea hardware engineering experience in oil & gas
• Strong knowledge of subsea engineering principles, codes, and standards (API, ISO)
