Senior GCP Engineer, VP

About the role

Technology, Data and Innovation (TDI) at Deutsche Bank drives cloud modernization and agile delivery. As a Senior GCP Engineer you will design and implement re‑platforming architectures on GCP and hybrid cloud, lead Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, and enforce policy‑as‑code while mentoring engineers. Pune, India, on-site, full-time role with hybrid cloud focus and FinOps responsibilities.

What you’ll do

• Define and build application architectures for re‑platforming onto GCP and hybrid cloud
• Create and enforce Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines and governance frameworks
• Collaborate with security, risk and compliance teams to implement policy‑as‑code
• Drive adoption of SRE and DevSecOps practices across delivery pods
• Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver multi‑cloud platforms using reusable blueprints
• Lead technical direction within agile delivery pods and review designs for quality
• Mentor a team of cloud engineers and contribute to cloud governance board
• Promote FinOps practices and cost optimisation across applications

Nice to have

• Hands‑on experience implementing applications on GCP or other public clouds
• Proven Terraform at scale
• Strong DevSecOps and Kubernetes knowledge
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD
• Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, workload identity federation
• Experience with policy‑as‑code tools (OPA, Sentinel, Conftest)
• Ability to mentor engineers
• Experience driving FinOps and cost optimisation
