About the role
Credit Risk (CR) at Goldman Sachs evaluates the creditworthiness of corporate, financial institution and sovereign counterparties, building financial models and performing stress testing to protect the firm’s risk appetite. The Vice President leads counterparty analysis, loan transaction reviews, portfolio stress testing and collaborates with Risk Engineering to improve operational efficiency. Bengaluru, India, on-site office setting.
What you’ll do
- Assess credit and financial strength of corporate borrowers and counterparties using quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Review and recommend loan transactions, determine appetite and regulatory ratings
- Monitor credit trends, perform distressed analysis and estimate potential impairments
- Build and maintain financial projection models and present findings to senior leadership
- Perform portfolio-level stress testing and scenario analysis for macroeconomic shocks
- Collaborate with Risk Engineering to identify and solve operating efficiency challenges
What you’ll bring
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, Masters preferred
- 1-10 years experience in corporate credit risk, credit analysis, ratings analysis, corporate finance or research
- Functional background in finance and accounting
- Strong analytical, presentational and communication skills
