Digital Solution Architect Engineer

About the role

Airbus Engineering Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Digital Solutions team builds and maintains the modelling & simulation infrastructure for aerospace engineering. The Digital Solution Architect Engineer designs, implements and supports CI/CD pipelines, containerized tools and network services, providing daily developer assistance and enforcing standards. Bangalore, India, on-site role with hybrid flexibility as needed.

What you’ll do

• Assess and improve existing IT systems, tools and processes for the ECS domain
• Design, develop and supervise new digital solutions from specification to deployment
• Implement and maintain automated DevOps pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins
• Enforce coding standards and build robust testing frameworks in Python and Java
• Lead onboarding, release documentation and establish standardized Ways of Working
• Provide technical input for long‑term digital strategy and roadmap
• Manage user permissions, application compliance and data governance
• Support daily developer operations and troubleshoot environment issues

What you’ll bring

• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years DevOps or infrastructure tooling experience
• Hands‑on Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD expertise
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Proficiency in Python (PEP8) and Java
• Familiarity with SAFe agile framework
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Fluent English
