About the role

GPU Fabric Networking group at NVIDIA builds and sustains system software that enables fast communication among GPUs for AI, deep learning and HPC platforms. The Senior Software Engineer designs, implements and validates communication hardware and software, drives platform bring‑up, feature enablement and debugging of NVLink‑based GPU and rack‑scale systems. Works on Linux and Windows environments, collaborates with cross‑functional teams, and resolves complex software, firmware and networking issues. Bengaluru, India (On‑site).

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain system software for GPU communication
  • Participate in architecture and build of next‑gen communication hardware and software
  • Drive platform bring‑up, feature enablement, and end‑to‑end validation
  • Debug and resolve complex software, firmware, and networking issues
  • Optimize performance, reliability and scalability of the networking stack
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to meet requirements

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years professional software engineering experience
  • Expertise in C/C++ development and debugging
  • Proficiency with shell scripting; Python or Perl a plus
  • Strong Linux kernel and systems programming background
  • Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, Ethernet, InfiniBand, RDMA
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies like KVM or QEMU
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture and multi‑threaded programming
