Senior Technical Writer

About the role

Senior Technical Writer at Centific creates clear, user-friendly documentation for software products. Responsible for writing, editing, and maintaining user manuals, release notes, setup guides, and API documentation. Translates complex technical concepts into accessible materials for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Works closely with product, engineering, sales, and support teams to gather accurate information and ensure documentation reflects product evolution. Updates and revises content as new features launch, identifies knowledge gaps with Customer Success, and builds a knowledge base of FAQs and troubleshooting tips. Ensures consistency and clarity across all customer‑facing content, gathers feedback for continuous improvement, and assists in developing instructional videos or visual aids. Requires a bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Communications, or related field, 3+ years of technical writing experience in a software environment, strong technical background, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Markdown, HTML, and other content tools, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in Technical Writing, CS, Communications, or related field
• 3+ years technical writing in software/tech environment
• Strong technical background, explain complex product details
• Excellent written & verbal communication
• Proficiency in Markdown, HTML, or technical writing tools
• Independent & collaborative in fast-paced environment
• Experience with API documentation and engineering teams (plus)
