Senior Technical Lead

About the role

PTC is seeking a Senior Technical Lead in Pune, India to lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise applications that bring the physical and digital worlds together. Day-to-day, you will write clean, reusable Java code, drive application architecture, lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.

What you’ll do

• Lead the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable Java applications
• Write clean, reusable code and develop unit/integration tests
• Drive application architecture, lead code reviews, and guide technical discussions
• Mentor engineers and foster best practices across the team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, continuously improving performance, reliability, and documentation

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent
• 5+ years of hands-on Java application development experience
• Strong expertise in Core Java, OOP, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns
• Proven experience in system design, architecture, and technical decision-making for enterprise-scale applications
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical discussions
• Experience with JUnit, Git, REST APIs, and modern software engineering practices
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
