About the role

HR Data Architecture & Governance team at Amgen drives enterprise HR data governance, ensuring high‑quality, secure, and compliant data for analytics and regulatory needs. The Lead defines and implements governance frameworks, oversees data quality, metadata, MDM programs, and manages stewardship and compliance initiatives. Hyderabad, India, on‑site work model.

What you’ll do

• Define and implement enterprise data governance strategy and operating model
• Develop and oversee data quality frameworks, metrics, and remediation processes
• Manage metadata, data catalog, and data lineage solutions
• Establish data stewardship programs and facilitate governance councils
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, SOX and mitigate data risks
• Partner with business, IT, analytics, and legal teams to drive governance adoption
• Evaluate and integrate data governance tools into data platforms
• Lead cross‑functional teams and promote best practices in data management

What you’ll bring

• 12-17 years data governance experience
• Bachelor's or Master's in Information Management or related field
• Expertise with DAMA‑DMBOK or DCAM frameworks
• Hands‑on with Collibra, Alation, or Informatica
• Proven track record in data quality, metadata, and MDM programs
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience in regulated industries (preferred)
• CDMP or equivalent certification (preferred)
