About the role
Apex Group’s Global Head of Cyber Defence leads the 24/7/365 SOC, shaping threat detection, incident response, and cyber resilience across all regions. The role partners with Security Engineering, IT Risk, and legal to protect client data and enable secure growth. Based in Pune – Baner, India, the position is on‑site with a focus on global leadership and strategic oversight.
What you’ll do
- Define & execute global cyber defence strategy
- Lead and coordinate SOC operations and incident response
- Develop playbooks and runbooks
- Drive continuous improvement in tooling and automation
- Manage vendor relationships
- Report to executive and board forums
- Build high‑performing global cyber defence team
- Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years cybersecurity experience
- 7+ years senior leadership
- Global SOC management
- Deep threat detection & response
- SIEM & cloud security expertise
- CISSP/CISM/GIAC preferred
- Strong communication & stakeholder engagement
- Regulatory & client‑facing security assurance
