Lead Associate Product Owner

About the role

IT department at Davies, driving user‑centred digital products for the UK&I business. The Lead Associate Product Owner owns the Scrum backlog, translates client needs into clear user stories, and collaborates with design and engineering to deliver high‑quality solutions. Hybrid role based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, with occasional onsite collaboration.

What you’ll do

• Own and manage the product backlog aligning with client needs and business priorities
• Create, refine, and prioritize user stories, features, and epics
• Develop acceptance criteria using Gherkin format
• Ensure backlog transparency and readiness for development
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams on UI/UX wireframes and prototypes
• Support product vision and goals across teams and stakeholders
• Contribute to product planning and lifecycle activities with senior leaders
• Act as the voice of the client to ensure delivery meets strategic objectives

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience as a Lead Associate Product Owner or similar in Agile environments
• Strong understanding of Scrum and product management principles
• Ability to translate business objectives into actionable user stories
• Experience with .Net, Python, Java or similar technologies
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Data‑driven decision making and feature prioritisation
• Familiarity with UI/UX design and prototype collaboration
