About the role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise seeks a Technical Support Engineer for its L2 TAC team, supporting HPE and Juniper Campus & Data-Center products. The role involves troubleshooting complex networking issues, managing customer escalations, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure resolution. This hybrid position is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

What you’ll do

Demonstrate ownership of customer reported issues until resolution
Understand customer impact and prioritize issues effectively
Communicate effectively between various stakeholders
Contribute to new product readiness and knowledge creation
Participate in quality improvement and training activities
Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve customer issues
Work flexibly on weekends/holidays as required by business needs

What you’ll bring

In-depth knowledge of switching technologies (xSTP, VRRP, LACP, etc.)
Expertise in IP protocols (ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP)
Proficiency in IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP)
Excellent verbal/written communication and customer handling skills
Ability to logically troubleshoot complex, high-impact problems

Nice to have

Technical support experience with Enterprise/Telecom/Cloud network infrastructures
Troubleshooting experience in Routing/Switching domains
Experience collaborating with Product Development/Engineering teams
Proven track record implementing automation technologies
Scripting skills in Python, Perl, or Shell
