About the role

BIU (Business Intelligence Unit) at Axis Bank drives data‑based decisions across retail, small business and corporate lines. The Business Analyst will shape product strategy for Retail Liabilities, Insurance and Investment products, perform root‑cause analysis, generate actionable insights and lead a team of 4‑6 analysts. Based in Mumbai with an on‑site work model, the role collaborates with senior leaders, technology and project teams to optimize portfolio performance and revenue growth.

What you’ll do

• Develop product strategy and conduct portfolio analysis for Retail Liabilities, Insurance and Investment products
• Perform root‑cause analysis using quantitative and statistical techniques to create business insights
• Generate and recommend actionable strategies to business stakeholders
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with senior leaders, technology, strategy and project management teams
• Monitor portfolio performance and drive customer engagement, digital activation and price optimization
• Track key business metrics ensuring alignment with objectives
• Lead a team of 4‑6 analysts to solve day‑to‑day business problems

What you’ll bring

• 5-8 years analytics experience
• CA/CS/CFA or advanced degree in quantitative field
• 1+ years team leadership
• Proficiency in SAS, R, Python or Big Data tools
• Strong data handling and statistical analysis skills
• Project management experience with internal and external partners
• Motivated with continuous learning mindset
