About the role

Vocera Communications India Private Limited, part of Stryker, builds scalable cloud‑native platforms for healthcare. The Senior Staff Software Engineer leads architecture, designs microservices and event‑driven solutions, mentors engineers, and drives technical strategy across teams. Bengaluru, Karnataka, India – hybrid work model with on‑site collaboration as needed.

What you’ll do

• Lead architecture, design and development of cloud‑native applications and platform services
• Design distributed systems, microservices and event‑driven solutions using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot and Confluent Kafka
• Conduct architecture reviews, design discussions, code reviews and technical decision‑making
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence
• Collaborate with product, devops, quality and program management to deliver high‑quality software

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
• 10+ years of software development experience
• Expertise in Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Confluent Kafka
• Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure

Nice to have

• Experience designing highly available cloud‑native SaaS platforms
• Familiarity with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana
