About the role
Ingram Micro seeks an AWS Migration Engineer in Bengaluru, India, to support cloud transformation by migrating on-premise workloads to AWS. The role involves planning, designing, and executing migration strategies using services like MGN and DMS while ensuring minimal business disruption. This is a full-time position requiring 3–7 years of experience.
What you’ll do
- Plan and execute end-to-end migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to AWS
- Conduct application and infrastructure assessments to determine cloud readiness
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient AWS architectures
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Monitor workloads and optimize performance using CloudWatch and AWS Trusted Advisor
- Implement AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, and network security
- Work with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance
What you’ll bring
- 3–7+ years in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure roles
- Strong experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC)
- Hands-on experience in cloud migration projects
- Knowledge of networking concepts (subnets, routing, VPNs)
- Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL migrations)
Nice to have
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator)
- Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
- Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash)
