AWS Migration Engineer

About the role

Ingram Micro seeks an AWS Migration Engineer in Bengaluru, India, to support cloud transformation by migrating on-premise workloads to AWS. The role involves planning, designing, and executing migration strategies using services like MGN and DMS while ensuring minimal business disruption. This is a full-time position requiring 3–7 years of experience.

What you’ll do

• Plan and execute end-to-end migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to AWS
• Conduct application and infrastructure assessments to determine cloud readiness
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient AWS architectures
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Monitor workloads and optimize performance using CloudWatch and AWS Trusted Advisor
• Implement AWS security best practices including IAM, KMS, and network security
• Work with cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance

What you’ll bring

• 3–7+ years in cloud engineering or IT infrastructure roles
• Strong experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC)
• Hands-on experience in cloud migration projects
• Knowledge of networking concepts (subnets, routing, VPNs)
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL migrations)

Nice to have

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect or SysOps Administrator)
• Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments
• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS)
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash)
