Associate / Senior Associate - Risk

About the role

Credit Saison India, a leading NBFC, seeks an Associate/Senior Associate in Risk to drive portfolio health and credit strategy. The role involves deep analysis of delinquency patterns, segmenting risk, and crafting data‑driven credit policies across acquisition, management, fraud, and collections. Working closely with product, engineering, and data science teams, the analyst will refine risk models, optimize cut‑offs, and integrate traditional and alternative data sources for underwriting. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in CS or engineering from a top Indian institute, possess 2‑5 years of experience in risk analytics or data science, and be proficient in SQL, Python or R, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques. The position is based in Bengaluru, India, and requires on‑site presence.

What you’ll do

• Analyze portfolio delinquencies at micro level
• Develop credit strategies across acquisition, management, fraud, collections
• Identify trends via analytics at various portfolio cuts
• Support internal portfolio reviews and quality improvement
• Collaborate with product and engineering to implement risk strategies
• Work with data science to optimize risk model cut‑offs
• Understand and leverage traditional and alternative data sources for underwriting

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in CS/Engineering from top Indian institute
• 2‑5 years experience in Risk Analytics or Data Science
• Proficient in SQL, Python or R
• Strong statistical knowledge (Bayesian, confidence intervals)
• Experience with ML techniques such as decision trees
• Comfortable with structured and unstructured data

Nice to have

Fintech or Retail/SME/LAP/Secured lending experience
