About the role
HPE Networking Platforms team develops high‑performance embedded software for networking platforms. The Senior Embedded Software Developer designs, implements and debugs Linux‑based embedded applications and device drivers, collaborating with hardware and firmware groups. Based in Bengaluru, India, this role is onsite at the HPE office.
What you’ll do
- Analyze requirements and design embedded software solutions
- Develop and maintain Linux‑based applications and drivers
- Integrate software with hardware and perform system bring‑up
- Write functional specifications and unit test plans
- Conduct code reviews and participate in design discussions
- Debug, profile and optimize software performance
What you’ll bring
- 6-10 years embedded software development
- Expertise in Embedded Linux, C/C++, Python
- Experience with RTOS and device driver development
- Knowledge of Ethernet and MACsec
- Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Electrical Engineering
- Proficiency in debugging and performance optimization
- Collaboration with hardware/ASIC teams
