About the role

Semtech Advanced Systems India leads cutting‑edge semiconductor R&D, delivering SoC, analog, digital and packaging solutions. The Director of R&D Technical Head defines chip design strategy, oversees architecture, verification and DFT, and drives cross‑vertical coordination across 12‑20 engineers. Hyderabad, India, on‑site, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Define end‑to‑end chip design strategy and technology roadmap
• Establish design standards and quality benchmarks
• Lead vertical leads and engineering managers across SoC, analog, digital, verification and DFT
• Coordinate cross‑functional design reviews and tape‑out readiness
• Present R&D status and risk assessments to senior leadership
• Champion innovation in advanced packaging, AI‑driven EDA and next‑gen process nodes

What you’ll bring

• 20+ years semiconductor/VLSI experience
• 5+ years senior engineering leadership
• Hands‑on expertise across full chip design flow
• Management of multiple concurrent tape‑out projects
• Proficiency with Cadence and Synopsys EDA tools
• Excellent English communication
