About the role
Nomura Services India supports the group’s global operations through Wholesale Data Services and Operations Technology. This Business Analyst role gathers business requirements, analyzes trading data using SQL, and facilitates stakeholder engagement between traders and technical teams. The position is located in Mumbai, India.
What you’ll do
- Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder engagement
- Analyze trading data and create reports using SQL and visualization tools
- Act as liaison between business users, traders, and technical teams
- Develop test plans and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Identify process optimization opportunities and recommend system enhancements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide business context
What you’ll bring
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
- Understanding of financial markets and trading instruments
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like MiFID II or Dodd-Frank
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle stages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
