About the role

HSBC's International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) unit, within Global Asset Management, seeks an Assistant Manager Branch Operations in Bhubneshwar, Odisha, India. The role ensures error-free transaction reporting at the Investor Service Centre, manages customer communication for timely resolution, and excels in distribution and investor services with a focus on corporate customers. Day-to-day work includes interfacing with service providers, highlighting discrepancies, exploring efficiency suggestions, complying with regulatory and process requirements, contributing to knowledge management, and supporting recruitment, contingency, and leave planning. The position also involves monthly reporting and representing the organization with internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Ensure timely and error-free reporting of transactions received at the Investor Service Centre
• Manage customer communication effectively to achieve timely resolution
• Excel in distribution services and investor services with special focus on corporate customers
• Have close interface with service providers and highlight discrepancies or gaps in a timely manner
• Explore and process efficiency suggestions and contribute to achieve customer delight
• Comply with applicable regulatory requirements on qualifications required for the job profile
• Contribute to the knowledge management initiative of the customer service team
• Contribute to recruitments, contingency, and leave planning

What you’ll bring

• NISM VA cleared with valid certification
• Good verbal and written communication
• Team and interpersonal skills
• Inclination to work in a client-facing role with a bent of mind for service
• Ideally a post graduate
• Minimum 2 plus years of experience in a client-facing role involving Service, Query Handling
• A good understanding of mutual fund/security markets
• Compliance with applicable regulatory requirements on qualifications required for the job profile
