Senior EBS DBA / OCI Professional

About the role

EY GDS seeks a Senior EBS DBA / OCI professional to support large-scale Oracle EBS environments across on-premises and cloud deployments. The role involves solving complex technical challenges, including EBS migrations to OCI, database upgrades, high availability design, and performance optimization. This position is based in Hyderabad, TG, IN, with a Hybrid work model.

What you’ll do

• Oversee Oracle EBS database administration and OCI implementation, identifying opportunities for performance and scalability improvements
• Ensure database standards, cloud architecture guidelines, and operational processes are followed across on-premise and OCI environments
• Act as the first-level technical escalation point for EBS database and OCI-related issues for mission-critical systems
• Perform end-to-end database and application migrations from on-premises environments to OCI
• Make technical decisions, design solutions, and optimize environments for EBS and Oracle database workloads
• Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure teams on instance provisioning, virtual network design, and security configurations
• Support database upgrades, patching, maintenance, and performance tuning for Oracle databases
• Maintain database configurations, operational guidelines, and technical documentation aligned with enterprise standards

What you’ll bring

• 2-6 years of relevant experience in architecting, designing, implementing, or supporting highly distributed applications
• Extensive experience working on at least one Public Cloud (Oracle/Azure/Google), with Oracle Cloud preferred
• BTech / MTech / MCA / MBA degree
• Strong understanding of Oracle EBS R12 architecture and multi-node environments
• Experience with Oracle Database upgrades (9i/10g/11g to 12c/18c/19c)
• Knowledge of OCI networking, security, and database services
• System administration experience with Linux and Solaris

Nice to have

• Certification in Public Cloud (Oracle/AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Certified Architect Professional)
• Experience in designing, developing, deploying, or migrating mission-critical business applications to Cloud environments
• Expertise in architecting best technical solutions based on customer requirements
