Sr Functional Analyst (Transportation Management)

About the role

The Sr Functional Analyst (Transportation Management) role at Blue Yonder (formerly JDA Software) in Bangalore translates customer and PMG business requirements into functional design solutions for a scalable, event-driven microservices platform. Day-to-day, the analyst works across multiple scrum teams, defines and owns the definition of done, writes functional specifications, analyzes user needs, and coordinates project tasks while collaborating with customer support, sales, and other departments. The position also involves tactical and strategic product-direction input, quality-focused development, and mentoring junior team members.

What you’ll do

• Works with the project team to ensure smooth and efficient implementation and integration between technical and functional system requirements
• Works with all levels of Blue Yonder associates in developing functional specifications, analysis of user needs, and testing
• Participates in business process analysis or design/construction phase of the project that leads to writing functional specifications
• Ensures the security and integrity of corporate assets and intellectual property and compliance with internal and external company policies and procedures
• Handles activities with a diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
• Exercises judgment on methods and techniques for obtaining solutions within generally defined practices and policies
• Coordinates project tasks on engagements
• Mentors or guides junior team members

What you’ll bring

• 3-5 years of industrial or domain experience
• Transportation domain experience is mandatory
• Deep functional knowledge of a product and understanding of the solution suite domain
• Experience building SaaS-based applications or next-gen solutions in the Transportation domain
• Ability to visualize solutions and translate customer or PMG business requirements into functional design solutions
• Ability to work with more than one scrum team to accomplish delivery targets
• Exposure to customer interaction and ability to communicate product capabilities
• Ability to define and take accountability of definition of done for a feature
