About the role

Hardware Engineering team at Qualcomm designs and verifies high-speed interconnect protocols for next-gen devices. The Senior Staff Engineer develops UVM-based verification environments, creates verification plans, and mentors junior engineers to ensure design correctness and coverage closure. What you’ll do

Develop and maintain UVM-based verification environments for high-speed protocols
Create and execute verification plans and coverage strategies
Collaborate with RTL designers, architects, and validation teams
Integrate and validate SMMU and Coresight components
Drive verification closure through coverage convergence
Contribute to performance, power, and cost optimization
Mentor junior engineers and improve verification methodology
Debug failures at RTL and gate-level simulations

What you’ll bring

8+ years ASIC/Subsystem/SoC verification experience
Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and verification methodologies
Deep knowledge of PCIe, CXL, AXI/CHI protocols
Experience with Synopsys/Mentor VIPs
Proficiency in Perl/Python/Tcl scripting
Knowledge of power-aware verification (UPF)
Experience with assertion-based verification and coverage-driven testing
Mentoring junior engineers
