About the role

This IT Analyst Applications role sits within Caterpillar’s Technology, Digital and Data career area, supporting the SAP Finance functional area under an IT Supervisor. Day-to-day work includes gathering and designing business requirements, producing Business Blueprint documents, providing IT development support for the SAP FI module, leading end-to-end implementations and roll-outs, overseeing system solutions, and guiding testing, defect resolution, and team activities. The position is based on-site in Bangalore, Karnataka, requiring five days a week on-site.

What you’ll do

• Understand business processes, guide business requirements gathering and designing solutions.
• Provide IT development support for Caterpillar's SAP FI module.
• Complete a minimum of 2 end-to-end implementations and 2 roll-out projects.
• Be adaptable to and work with multiple platforms.
• Analyze risks and guide management and teams to take initiatives forward.
• Assume responsibility and accountability towards organizational technology needs.
• Oversee all aspects of system solutions.
• Lead the team and provide help in day-to-day activities.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 8-9 years’ experience in SAP FI modules, General Ledger accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
• Strong experience in SAP FI processes for General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payables, and Accounts Receivables.
• Strong experience in standard SAP FI system configurations and custom developments and enhancements.
• Strong experience in integration between SAP-to-SAP, SAP-to-Non-SAP, and Non-SAP-to-SAP, including IDocs, EDI, and flat files processing.
• Strong experience in integration between FI-CO, FI-MM, and FI-CRM modules.
• Strong experience in Revenue Recognition and Standard cost process.
• Strong experience in SAP Controlling module.
