About the role
Weir is a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future, helping customers extract resources more efficiently and sustainably. The Engineer - Sales role in the Odisha region (Barbil, Keonjhar) drives business development for original equipment and integrated process-improvement solutions, conducts regular customer visits and presentations, prepares techno-commercial proposals, and coordinates with regional, SIOP, engineering, and operations teams. The position is on-site with extensive field travel (approximately 15-20 days per month) within the territory.
What you’ll do
- Generate business for Original Equipment and integrated solutions related to process improvement within the mineral processing equipment sector in the Odisha region
- Conduct regular visits and presentations to customers in the Keonjhar/Barbil area, managing relationships at all levels to understand and meet their requirements
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, handle discussions, and close orders to achieve agreed business objectives and company KPIs
- Collaborate with regional, SIOP, engineering, and operations teams; provide weekly updates on new business opportunities, customer feedback, and strategies to address customer pain points
- Engage with customers, prepare proposals, coordinate internally, and travel extensively (approximately 15-20 days per month) within the territory

What you’ll bring
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing Engineering or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in mineral processing or a related industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage customers and internal teams
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region
- Familiarity with the Keonjhar/Barbil region and local mining ecosystem
