Institutional Investment Operations Specialist - Governance and Oversight

About the role

The Governance and Oversight (G&O) team within Wells Fargo India's Institutional Investment Operations supports the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB-Wholesale) group by managing risk and control through the Self Inspection Program (SIP), Business Continuity Planning, and WFS Operations metrics. Based in Bengaluru, India, this full-time role executes process risk reviews, control testing and validation, incident and issue management, and production of operations metrics while collaborating with EMEA business partners and contributing to risk meetings at the Head of International Ops level. The position requires Capital Markets experience and the ability to work nights.

What you’ll do

• Conduct Walk through (Process Risk Reviews) sessions for different operations teams within Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) and socialize team members to maintain a collaborative environment for pro
• Understand various aspects of the Risk and Control Framework including RCSA, Incident Management, Issue Management, Control Testing and Validation
• Interact with EMEA business partners in delivering responsibilities such as control testing, Incident Reporting, and Risk reviews
• Work closely with EMEA (UK) manager on executing risk assessment of WFS Operations functions for the Self-Inspection Program (SIP)
• Contribute to the KRI/KPI/KCI metric platform for local teams across the organization as part of WFS Operations Strategy and Metrics
• Build and manage cross-functional, cross-organizational relationships through consistent collaboration
• Work with technical and operational partners throughout WFS
• Assist in contributing to Risk Meetings at Head of International Ops level

What you’ll bring

• 6-8 years of experience
• Capital Markets experience in middle office operations across the trade life cycle (static data, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, investigations)
• Experience in operational risk management, incident management, issue management, control testing, and RCSA
• Understanding of operational incidents/events (ICT) and ability to run through root causes with business team assistance
• Good written skills for writing testing scripts, summarizing, and presenting testing results to senior leadership
• Functional expertise in product classes such as FX, equity, fixed income with brokerage and broker dealer services
• English language proficiency and ability to work nights
• MS Office skills and attention to detail

Nice to have

• Understanding of Capital Markets and different product taxonomies within business segments (FX, Derivatives, Brokerage)
• Knowledge of Risk function deliverables like Key Risks & Controls and the testing thereof
• Understanding of the importance and role of MIS
• Knowledge of systems: GMI, Intellimatch, Imagine, Broadridge, Calypso
• Good team player
• Working experience in Corporate Investment Banking in the capacity of an operational risk role
