About the role
Applied Materials India SW R&D division (FIFA Genesis) leads automation for wafer handling software. The QA Automation Lead drives automation strategy, coverage, and KPI improvement, mentors a team of 15+ engineers, and collaborates across QA, DevOps, and delivery pipelines. Bangalore, India, On-site, 10% travel, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Lead automation processes and KPI definition across organization
- Develop automation strategy and reusable scripts for regression testing
- Design and improve automation quality standards and product feature tests
- Collaborate with QA, Scrum, infrastructure, and delivery teams
- Conduct monthly automation coverage milestones and present QBR status
- Create E2E tests for simulations and setups
- Recommend new tools, techniques, and methodologies
What you’ll bring
- 10+ years overall experience
- 5+ years hands‑on automation engineering
- 2‑3 years end‑to‑end automation ownership
- Leadership and mentoring skills
- Strong knowledge of testing concepts and OOP
- Proficiency in Java, Python, C#
- Experience with Agile and DevOps CI/CD pipelines
- UI/API test automation expertise
