About the role
This Embedded Linux C++ Developer role supports a semiconductor manufacturing client, building and maintaining robust embedded applications focused on networking, wireless communication, and Linux-based systems. Day-to-day work includes hands-on C/C++ development, system integration, debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting across embedded platforms, with close collaboration across hardware and software teams. The position is based in Bengaluru and is on-site.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain C/C++ applications on Embedded Linux platforms
- Develop networking applications using TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, and mDNS
- Implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi functionality in Linux environments using WPA Supplicant
- Develop Wi-Fi connectivity features supporting WPA2, WPA3, PSK, Enterprise authentication, and Access Point modes
- Work on Bluetooth Classic and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) functionality
- Develop and integrate Bluetooth profiles and protocols including RFCOMM, GATT, HID, and HOGP, along with SSP authentication
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for system automation, diagnostics, and deployment
- Build and integrate applications using CMake and qmake
What you’ll bring
- 6+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, preferably with networking or wireless products
- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline
- Strong hands-on proficiency in C/C++ and Linux
- Solid understanding of networking technologies and protocols, particularly TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, and mDNS
- Practical experience developing applications for Embedded Linux devices
- Strong experience with Wi-Fi development, WPA Supplicant, WPA2/WPA3, PSK, Enterprise authentication, and Access Point mode
- Experience with Bluetooth Classic and BLE, including RFCOMM, GATT, HID, HOGP, and SSP
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using GDB, Valgrind, or Qt Creator debugger
Nice to have
- Exposure to network-connected peripherals such as barcode printers is an advantage
- Familiarity with QML, custom UI components, animations, framebuffer rendering, or responsive embedded interfaces is a plus
- Knowledge of secure coding, system reliability, and production-quality embedded software practices is highly valued
