About the role

Join the high-growth FlashBlade team at Pure Storage as a Senior Engineering Manager, building the next-generation, scale-out all-flash file and object storage platform. You will architect, design, and deliver high-performance distributed systems optimized for modern data-intensive workloads like AI, log analytics, and cluster computing, while owning critical technological roadmaps and mentoring top-tier talent. Based in the Bangalore, India office, this is primarily an in-office role where you partner with Product Management, System Validation, and Customer Support to drive scalable innovation and deliver six-nines reliability to global customers.

What you’ll do

• Lead the architectural evolution and end-to-end delivery of high-performance, resilient storage systems from initial design concepts to high-quality shipped products
• Design and implement robust algorithms and concurrent platform solutions engineered for modern data pipelines, AI infrastructure, distributed computing, and enterprise analytics
• Apply deep root-cause analysis and system-level insight to solve multi-threaded, high-concurrency performance and reliability issues across Linux platform internals
• Collaborate across product management, validation, and support teams to align technical roadmaps, establish architectural standards, and drive enterprise product stability
• Mentor high-performing engineering peers, spearhead architecture forums, and foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and customer-first impact

What you’ll bring

• Deep platform development proficiency in Linux system programming
• Strong hands-on expertise in C, C++, Python, Go, or Java
• Mastery of object-oriented design, data structures, multi-threading, synchronization, and concurrent programming
• Strong understanding of distributed systems architecture
• Proven ability to make strategic architectural decisions
• Experience designing for enterprise-grade high availability
• Ability to support complex production deployments
• Exceptional communication skills with a track record of articulating complex system architectures and influencing key technical stakeholders
