About the role
Security Platform group at Workday India builds large-scale security infrastructure for millions of users. Senior Software Development Engineer designs next-gen authorization frameworks, fine-grained access control and distributed data security models, mentors junior engineers and partners with security architects to integrate solutions across Workday applications. Chennai, India, hybrid (flexible schedule with at least 50% office time).
What you’ll do
- Lead architectural design of high‑availability authorization services
- Define and implement zero‑trust data security boundaries
- Drive code quality, security compliance, and performance best practices
- Mentor P3 and associate engineers
- Collaborate with security architects and compliance teams to integrate authorization patterns
What you’ll bring
- 7+ years software engineering
- IAM/authorization solutions
- RBAC, ABAC, ReBAC, OAuth2, OIDC, SAML
- Java, Go, or Scala
- OWASP top 10 and threat modeling
- AWS/GCP cloud security
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
