About the role
Truveta’s mission is to save lives with data by powering breakthrough medical discoveries and improving patient care. As a Senior Security Engineer on the Data Security & Security Reviews team, you will lead threat modeling, secure architecture reviews, and data protection strategy across our applications and platforms. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to embed security early in the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safeguarding sensitive patient data. The role is based in Hyderabad, India, with an on‑site work model.
What you’ll do
- Lead security design reviews for new and existing systems
- Perform threat modeling and translate threats into engineering requirements
- Define and implement data protection strategies (classification, encryption, key management)
- Review application architectures and APIs for security weaknesses
- Conduct third‑party/vendor security assessments
- Partner with engineering teams to remediate findings
- Establish secure design patterns and guidelines
- Integrate security into shift‑left development workflows
