About the role

Duck Creek Technologies Platform Engineering team builds cloud‑native insurance SaaS solutions. The Principal Software Architect defines architectural vision, leads AI/ML integration, and ensures secure, observable systems across AWS, Azure and GCP. Works hands‑on designing microservices, mentoring architects, and collaborating with product and security teams. Mumbai, Remote work model, travel up to 25%.

What you’ll do

• Define and evolve cloud‑native architectures and roadmaps
• Integrate generative AI tools and model deployment pipelines
• Design secure systems leveraging IAM, Zero Trust, and DevSecOps
• Implement observability using Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry
• Mentor architects and senior engineers across multiple teams
• Collaborate with product, security, and infrastructure stakeholders
• Lead technical engagements with partners like Microsoft and OpenAI
• Contribute hands‑on code and perform architectural reviews

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 20+ years total software development experience
• 12+ years product experience in insurance domain
• 12+ years domain expertise in P&C insurance
• Expertise in C# and .NET Core
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with AI/ML tools and model deployment
• Proven leadership of architecture teams
