About the role
PTC is seeking a Senior Software Specialist in Pune, India to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications. What you’ll do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications
- Write clean, reusable code and develop unit/integration tests
- Participate in application design, code reviews, and technical discussions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment
- Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability while documenting key technical designs
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Java application development
- Strong expertise in Core Java, OOP, SOLID principles, and Design Patterns
- Experience writing unit and integration tests using JUnit
- Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and modern software engineering practices
- Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
