About the role

As a Custom Software Engineer at Accenture's Pune office, you will design, code, and enhance custom software components to meet unique business requirements. Day-to-day work involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying agile methodologies, and delivering scalable, high-performing solutions. The role expects you to act as an SME, lead team decisions, mentor junior members, and coordinate with stakeholders to align software with business objectives.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop tailored software solutions addressing unique business requirements
• Code and enhance various components within systems or applications
• Ensure solutions meet performance and scalability standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to agile methodologies
• Act as an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform
• Lead team decisions and engage with multiple teams on key decisions
• Provide solutions to problems for immediate and across multiple teams
• Lead implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 7.5 years of experience in Python (Programming Language)
• 15 years of full-time education
• Proficiency in Python (Programming Language)
• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and agile methodologies
• Experience in designing scalable and maintainable software architectures
• Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development tools

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux
• Experience with DevOps
